Neurosurgery is the branch which deals with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders which affect any portion of the Nervous System which includes the most intricate and important organ of the body the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and extra cranial cerebro vascular system. Patients and their families are eager to learn about their neurological disease to understand available treatments and to prepare for any lifestyle changes that may be necessary. Technology and Infrastructure

The hospital has state of the art Zeiss Pentero microscope for all micro neurosurgical procedures which allows neurosurgeon to view the micro architecture of the brain at very high magnification and ensure high precision. This is complemented by our Brain Lab Neuro-navigation system which allows the utmost precision necessary for small tumors and those in eloquent areas of the brain. Frameless stereotactic surgery allows these lesions to be managed through incision less than 2 cm. This is complemented with the 256 slice CT scan, PET-CT and 3T MRI to give best images required for understanding brain pathology like CT perfusion studies, MR perfusion, Functional MRI. MR Tractography for fiber tracking allows integration with Neuro-navigation system and image infusion with operating microscope to allow tumor removal from eloquent areas of brain without damaging the motor fibers.
