Profile

Dr. Apurva Prasad is a National Board-certified neurosurgeon practicing as a consultant neurosurgeon at Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre. With a visiting fellowship in Japan and dedicated MISS (minimally invasive) training in the field of spine surgery, he currently specializes in the surgical management of complex cervical and lumbar spine disorders and interventional pain procedures. His other areas of interest are craniovertebral junction surgery and brain and spinal cord tumor surgery (neuro-oncology). 

He is the youngest neurosurgeon to become a Board Member of the prestigious International Society of Neurosurgical Technology and Instrument Invention (ISNTii). He is the also the youngest neurosurgeon to be conferred Honorary Membership of the Madurai Neurosurgical Academy. His keen academic interest is well evidenced by more than 45 publications, multiple book chapters and several live-operative and cadaveric teaching courses, where he has demonstrated surgical techniques as invited faculty.
