Dr. Deepak Chhabra has been practicing as a Consultant Surgical Oncologist for over 15 years. He initially joined Lilavati Hospital in 2003 as a Clinical Fellow in GI Surgical Oncology. Over the years, Dr. Chhabra has successfully performed more than 5,000 cancer surgeries. He has specialized in Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic Cancer surgeries from Nagoya University, Japan, under the mentorship of Prof. Yuji Nimura. A certified Robotic Surgeon, Dr. Chhabra is trained in laparoscopic and robotic cancer surgeries at Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea. His expertise spans gastrointestinal, liver, gallbladder, pancreatic, gynecological, breast, and peritoneal cancers. He is among the few doctors in India specializing in Peritoneal Cancer surgeries and performing Cytoreductive Surgeries and HIPEC.
