Dr. Sushil Nehete, Consultant Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeon, has been practicing in the western suburbs for nearly 10 years.

After completing his super-specialty postgraduate training at Bombay Hospital and Institute of Medical Sciences under renowned Brachial Plexus and Hand Surgeon, Dr. Mukund Thatte, he worked at TN Medical College & BYL Nair Hospital and BJ Wadia Hospital, gaining experience in various congenital anomalies, obstetric brachial plexus injuries, and pediatric burns.

He then pursued a Fellowship in Advanced Microvascular Surgery with Dr. Samir Kumta at Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre, where he participated in various oncoplastic and hand reconstructive surgeries, along with complex microsurgical procedures such as gender reassignment, facial nerve surgeries, and atonic bladder surgeries.

He subsequently pursued an international fellowship in Hand, Brachial Plexus, and Peripheral Nerve Surgery under the guidance of Dr. Jayme Bertelli, an internationally recognized hand surgeon known for his innovative ideas and various procedures for reconstructing nerve injuries. There, he participated in novel research projects in nerve surgery and contributed to international journal publications. He received the prestigious R.D. Birla Smarak Kosh Scholarship to support this specialized training.

Dr. Nehete also completed a Fellowship in Hand, Peripheral Nerve, and Brachial Plexus Surgery at Clínica da Mão and UNISUL (University of Southern Santa Catarina), Florianopolis, Brazil.
