Dr. Vishal Kundnani received his basic medical qualifications in Bhopal and Jaipur and has since trained at renowned spine centers globally. His extensive training includes fellowships in Pediatric Spine Surgery (Australia), Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (Singapore and Korea), Adult Spinal Reconstruction (Singapore), Cervical Spine Surgery (Japan), and Complex Spinal Reconstruction (Japan).
Dr. Kundnani has vast experience in spine surgery and is a pioneer in minimally invasive spine surgery in India. He has performed over 4,000 minimally invasive spine procedures and more than 2,000 conventional lumbar and cervical spine surgeries. These include microdiscectomy, microendoscopic decompression, MIS-TLIF for various indications, laminectomy, spinal instrumentation, spinal biopsy, and spinal deformity surgery (scoliosis and kyphosis correction). He is skilled in navigation-guided spine surgery and trained in robotic spine surgery.
He has numerous national and international presentations and publications in reputable journals. He serves on the faculty of various national and international conferences, having delivered over 200 guest lectures globally.
Dr. Kundnani is an associate editor for several national and international spine journals and a reviewer for various orthopedic journals. He is a member of the scientific committee of the National Spine body and the fellowship convenor and director of the National Spine Fellowship Program at Bombay Hospital, as well as regional spine fellowship programs at various spine centers. He is actively involved in teaching graduate and postgraduate students at Bombay Hospital Medical College.
