Dr. Raina has been a valued member of the Lilavati Hospital team for over 22 years and has served as a Consultant Urologist since 1988. He has managed over 12,000 cases throughout his career.

His international training includes assignments at:

  • The Royal Infirmary at Bristol, U.K.
  • The Somerset Hospital in Taunton, U.K.
  • The Institute of Urology, London
  • The OLV Robotic Surgery Institute at Aalst, Belgium (September 2011)
  • The da Vinci Surgical System IRCAD Strasbourg, France (October 2015)

Awards & Recognition
  • Postgraduate teacher for the Diplomat National Board in Urology.
  • Appointed to the Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals and Grant Medical College, Mumbai, to assist in re-establishing their Renal Transplantation program.
  • Pioneered the use of the HPS 120 and 180 GreenLight laser for BPH in India.
  • Conducted the first workshop on Neuropathic Bladder in India in 2006 (SIU Indian Section) and remains the only urologist in India to have performed the LDDM (Latissimus Dorsi Dynamic Myoplasty for Atonic Bladder) procedure since 2006.
  • Faculty member for lectures and workshops for the USI, Mumbai Urological Society, Bangladesh Association of Urological Surgeons, Mumbai Obstetric and Gynecology Awards & Recognitions:Society, Asian Congress of Urology, SIU (Indian Section), and ASEAN.
