• International Fellow at Cleveland Foundation Clinic (1993, 1998) with Prof. Michael Henderson.
• Advanced training in hepatic surgery at Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan, with Prof. Makucchi and Prof. Ken Takasaki.
• Attended summer school for neuroendocrine gastrointestinal & hepatological diseases at Charité Campus University, Berlin.
• Founder member of the Indian Chapter of IHPBA and part of the organizing committee for the First National Conference in 2001 and the 8th World Congress of IHPBA in 2008.
• Life member of India Society of Gastroenterology, Indian Society of Oncology, Indian Association of Study of Liver, and India Association of Surgical Gastroenterology.
