Profile

Dr. Kodkani has over two decades of experience in orthopedic practice, having successfully performed more than 3000 cases. He has pursued specialized training in Arthroscopy and Sports Injuries in prestigious medical centers across the USA, UK, Japan, Germany, and Norway.

He is the author of four pioneering knee surgery procedures, which have been published in leading international peer-reviewed journals and are now followed globally.

Dr. Kodkani was awarded a scholarship and earned a Diploma in Sports Medicine from Oslo, Norway, with mentorship from the then Scientific Chairman of the International Olympic Committee in 2006.

Additionally, he holds an Indian patent and has a US patent pending for his innovative "Dome Stabilizer."

Notably, Dr. Kodkani became the first Indian to perform a complex single-stage 8-ligament reconstruction using allografts for knee dislocation.

  • Dr. Kodkani delivered the prestigious "Young Surgeons Forum" oration at the Western India Regional Orthopedic Conference, where he presented on "Dome Osteotomy - An Original Joint Preservation Surgery."
  • He has been honored with four Best Paper Presentation Awards at both State and National level conferences.
  • Dr. Kodkani's dedication and contribution to the field have earned him numerous accolades, including the Bharat Jyoti Award in 2005, the Best Citizens of India Award in 2006, and the Pharma Leaders – Most Promising Face of Orthopaedics Award in 2019.
