Dr. Navin Bhambhani is a Consultant Surgical Oncologist with over 16 years of experience. His expertise lies in Thoracic & GI Minimal Access/Robotic Surgery, as well as Gynaec and Breast malignancies. He completed his under-graduation from Seth G.S. Medical College & K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai, and his post-graduation from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He went on to complete a 3-year Rotational Residency in Oncosurgery and a 1-year Fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
He further honed his skills through fellowships in Thoracic and Minimal Access Oncosurgery at the National Cancer Center, Tokyo, Kurume University, Fukuoka, Osaka City Hospital, Osaka (Japan), and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York (U.S.A).
Dr. Bhambhani also pursued the CRSA European Chapter Colorectal Course at the ACOI’s Special School of Mini Invasive Robotic Surgery at Misericordia Hospital, Italy, and is a Certified Console Surgeon for the Da Vinci Robotic Surgery Si system from Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia.
He has worked as an Associate Consultant in Oncosurgery at P. D. Hinduja National Hospital & Research Center, Mumbai, and later joined Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Jaipur, where he was appointed to establish the Minimal Access Oncosurgery Department.
Dr. Bhambhani is a National Coordinator for the VATS & Laparoscopic Colorectal Leadership Programme in cooperation with Ethicon and has managed complex thoracic and GI cases, performing almost 300 surgeries annually.
