Dr. Biswanath Gouda is a highly trained Laparoscopic Bariatric and Gastrointestinal Surgeon with over 12 years of experience in Bariatric Surgery. He completed his medical schooling at Topiwala National Medical College & B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital, followed by a surgical residency (DNB Surgery) at P.D. Hinduja National Hospital, Mumbai.

Dr. Gouda furthered his expertise by pursuing a Fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgery at the prestigious Medanta Institute of Liver Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine. He also completed an Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Fellowship at Scripps Clinic, California, USA, under Dr. Sunil Bhoyrul, and another Fellowship at the Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery with Dr. JL Dulucq in Bordeaux, France.

He is one of the few surgeons in India to have accomplished an International Fellowship in Laparoscopic Hepato-Biliary Pancreatic Surgery with Dr. Brice Gayet at IMM in Paris.

Dr. Gouda's clinical practice encompasses general surgery, gastrointestinal surgeries, and surgeries for the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. He specializes in Bariatric procedures for weight loss, revisional Bariatric procedures, and metabolic surgery for morbid obesity and uncontrolled diabetes with associated comorbidities.

A Masters in Public Health from Tulane University, USA, Dr. Gouda is deeply passionate about clinical research and academic activities. He has published several papers in national and international journals and has presented at various scientific forums worldwide.

Dr. Gouda has been recognized as one of the top Gastrointestinal Surgeons in Mumbai by India Today Magazine (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) and Outlook Health Magazine (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024).
