Dr. Alaric Aroojis completed his medical education and Orthopaedic residency at the prestigious King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. His interest in Paediatric Orthopaedics began during his time as a Specialist Registrar at B.J. Wadia Hospital for Children. Dr. Aroojis further honed his expertise by completing a Fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Alfred duPont Hospital for Children, USA—the largest Paediatric Orthopaedic program in North America—and the National University Hospital, Singapore, from 2000-2001.

He has undertaken advanced training in Paediatric Orthopaedics at various esteemed centers across the USA, Europe, and Australia. With a strong academic and research orientation, Dr. Aroojis has contributed over 25 international publications and 30 national publications focused on Paediatric Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation. He has authored chapters in the renowned Rockwood & Wilkins’ Textbook of Fractures in Children (5th and 6th editions) and serves on the Editorial Boards of several distinguished journals. He has also presented more than 50 scientific papers at national and international conferences and has received several prestigious awards and scholarships. As a member of the faculty, Dr. Aroojis has delivered lectures at over 190 seminars, workshops, and conferences globally.

Dr. Aroojis is widely recognized as one of the leading authorities in India for the treatment of clubfoot through both conservative and surgical methods. He was selected as the sole representative from India to attend the 1st International Clubfoot Symposium on the Ponseti technique in Iowa, USA, in 2007. He is one of only two Asians nominated to the Medical Advisory Board of the Ponseti International Association (PIA) and serves on the Medical Advisory Boards of Miraclefeet and the Global Clubfoot Initiative (GCI). In 2017, he was awarded the prestigious Silver Jubilee Oration of the Indian Orthopaedic Association for his talk on "The India Clubfoot Programme: A Novel Public-Private Partnership Approach to Clubfoot Eradication through a Nationwide Treatment Programme."

Dr. Aroojis is among the few Paediatric Orthopaedic surgeons in India specializing in complex pelvic osteotomies for congenital hip dislocation and minimally invasive techniques for correcting difficult limb deformities in children. At Lilavati Hospital, he plays an integral role in the multi-disciplinary Spina Bifida & Cerebral Palsy Clinics, collaborating closely with Paediatric and Rehabilitation specialists. These clinics offer comprehensive Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation care for children with cerebral palsy and spina bifida, utilizing treatments such as neuro-developmental therapy, Botulinum injections, multi-level soft tissue surgeries, bone surgeries, and advanced gait analysis evaluations.

Dr. Aroojis is an active member of several prominent organizations, including the Asia-Pacific Orthopaedic Association, SICOT, the Indian Orthopaedic Association, the Bombay Orthopaedic Society, and the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of India (POSI). He is currently serving as the Hon. Secretary of POSI, having previously been an Executive Board Member. Alongside his busy clinical practice in Paediatric Orthopaedics, he continues to contribute to the field through teaching and academic research.
