Dr. Abhay Nene is a dedicated Consultant Spinal Surgeon at Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre. He holds an MBBS and MS (Orthopaedics) degree from the University of Bombay and brings with him over 16 years of experience in the field of spine surgery, having worked at numerous esteemed hospitals in India and abroad.

Following the completion of his M.S. in Orthopaedics, Dr. Nene began his career at Dr. Vasantrao Pawar Medical College Hospital and Research Centre. He continued to expand his expertise in orthopaedics at various hospitals before completing a clinical fellowship in spine surgery at Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre.

Dr. Nene has contributed significantly to the medical field, holding various office, teaching, and research positions. He has also been invited as a faculty member at numerous national and international conferences and workshops, sharing his knowledge and experience with peers and medical professionals.

Dr. Abhay Nene's work and research have been published in numerous esteemed international journals over the years. Additionally, he has contributed to significant publications, including the ASSI Textbook of Spinal Infections & Trauma and the Textbook of Orthopedics & Traumatology (2008, Jaypee).

At ASSICON 2017, his poster presentation titled "Tuberculous Spondylodiscitis with Coexistent Multiple Myeloma – A Rare Case" was awarded the Best Poster. He has also authored several articles in reputed medical journals, further enriching the field of spine surgery.
